A Threads carousel is one post with several photos or videos that you swipe through. Threads itself gives you no way to save them. ThreadSave reads the post and lists every item in the same order as the carousel, each with its own download button – photos labelled Photo 1, Photo 2… and videos Video 1, Video 2….

You choose what to keep: save the whole carousel one item at a time, or just the two pictures you actually need.

How to download a Threads carousel

  1. Copy the post link. Tap the share icon under the carousel in Threads and choose Copy link.
  2. Paste it above and press Download. ThreadSave shows all photos and videos it finds in the post.
  3. Save the items you want. Tap each button. Photos save as JPG, videos as MP4.

Photos and videos in the same post

  • Mixed carousels work. Photos and videos are listed together, so nothing in the post is skipped because of its type.
  • Original quality. Photos keep their uploaded resolution; videos keep their original resolution and sound. Nothing is recompressed or watermarked.
  • One file per item. There is no zip archive – every photo and video is a normal file you can open straight away.

If an item is missing

ThreadSave can only list items that Threads makes available for the public post. If the author deleted the post, made their account private or removed a single item, it won't appear. Text-only posts have nothing to download. Try again with a fresh link copied from the post itself, not from a profile or search page.

Can I download the whole Threads carousel at once?
There is no single zip button. Every item has its own download button, so saving the full carousel takes one tap per photo or video.
Does it work with carousels that mix photos and videos?
Yes. Photos and videos from the same post are listed together, in the order they appear in the carousel.
How many items can a carousel have?
ThreadSave lists every item it finds in the post, however many there are.
Will the photos and videos keep their quality?
Yes. ThreadSave does not resize, recompress or watermark anything – you get the files as they were uploaded.
Why is one item of the carousel missing?
Threads didn't return a download link for it – usually because it was removed or is not available publicly. Items without a link are left out instead of showing a broken button.
Is it free?
