Our story

ThreadSave started with a simple frustration: Threads doesn't let you save videos. If you saw a post you wanted to keep — a funny clip, an important tutorial, a moment you wanted to share — you were out of luck.

So we built the tool we wished existed. No signups. No installs. No watermarks. Just paste a link and download. That's it.

ThreadSave is a small, independent project. We keep it free, keep it simple, and improve it based on your feedback.

Technology

ThreadSave is built on a modern, high-performance stack. Our backend runs on Python with FastAPI, deployed on fast infrastructure with PostgreSQL for data storage. The frontend is pure vanilla HTML, CSS, and JavaScript — no heavy frameworks, just fast-loading pages that work everywhere.

We use Nginx for serving and caching, Docker for deployment, and have built custom rate-limiting and proxy systems to ensure reliable downloads at scale.
